Planets, signs, houses, aspects, transits, placings, charts, glyphs and elements:
Along with earth, there are seven planets that circle the sun: The faster moving – mercury, venus, mars; and the slower moving – jupiter, saturn, uranus, and pluto. The sun and moon are referred to as the two luminaries.
The constellations of the stars encircle the earth and are referred to as houses and signs consisting of twelve: aries, taurus, gemini, cancer, leo, virgo, libra, scorpio, sagittarius, capricorn, aquarius, and pisces.
Aspects are angles made between the planets in how they are positioned by degrees to each other referred to as: conjunct, sextile, trine, square, quintile, and opposite. A more finely tuned chart will include a few additional aspects.
Transits reflect the position of the planets at a given time such as currently, in the past, or at any time in the future. Placings are where the planets are located by their degree in the houses.
Charts are calculated using the month, day, year and time of birth. They are drawn with a circle within a larger circle referred to as a wheel, and show where all the planets are located and how they’re positioned to the others by aspect.
Glyphs are the symbols of the planets and signs used in the chart to identify their locations. Definitions describe the energies and influences of each planet and sign.
Interpretations describe the energies and influences of the planets in houses, as well as what their aspects to others planets convey.
